Ah, the joys and sorrows of research…
We all know how it goes. A story – be it a trilogy of door-stoppers, a play or a tiny short – is a world, and, to misquote Benedick, the world must be researched. And you can not find the stuff you need, or you can find too much and get lost in the meanders of it, or you can think you found the right stuff – and painfully discover later that you didn’t…
It’s lovely work, and harrowing, and fascinating, and sometimes it’s sheer despair. It is so frighteningly easy to wrongly assume, neglect or miss something that will turn up to be a howler once in print…
Wouldn’t it be great if there were someone trustworthy who can check things out for you – either providing the right wee detail or thoroughly sifting through your facts for accuracy and consistency?
Well then, enter RE:CON Service, a two-man venture offering just that: research, bibliography, fact-checking and/or content editing – all for an affordable fee.
And yes, one of the two is Davide Mana, he of Karavansara – so it’s a friend that I’m recommending. But I’m not recommending him because he is a friend. I’m recommending him (and highly) because, having worked with him, I have direct experience of his accuracy, knowledgeability in a whole array of fields, and attention to detail. Just the right assets to make him a great fact-checker and content editor, wouldn’t you say?
Thank you.
Let’s see what happens ๐
